βreak∮ast ₵alculus is a duo project of Teagan Faran (strings) and Leo Sussman (winds). The nesting pair met while personifying various rare birds in a John Luther Adams piece, and they haven’t stopped squawking and honking together ever since.

Dedicated to rambunctiously pluralistic noise-making, Leo and Teagan celebrate life’s simple pleasures – from buttermilk waffles to fundamental theorems – through a scrumptious hodgepodge of partially-derivative music.

βreak∮ast ₵alculus’s musical domain continuously integrates original tunes, jocular arrangements, and unbounded improvisations. Additionally, they differentiate themselves by commissioning hot-off-the-griddle new morsels (recently from the likes of Yaz Lancaster and Abby Swidler), ever pushing the limits of their anomalous instrumental combination in the quest to expand their finite set of repertoire.

Flute and violin? Recorder and viola? Piccolo and bass guitar? How about Bach and eggs, served atop a heaping portion of piping-hot mathematics‽
